1D ART
In one dimension, a single continuous shape has three essential attributes: length (finite for line segments), position (within the dimension), and colour.
The image below shows three centered 1D shapes of different lenghts and different colours. Additive colour mixing is applied.
- line segment 1: long, red
- line segment 2: medium, green
- line segment 3: short, blue

Note that:
- The line segment should be infinitely thin. For printing purposes, I gave it a little thickness.
- Colour is a composite of hue, brightness, saturation, and opacity. However, brightness and saturation are not relevant for this work since I only use RGB primary colours. Opacity is not relevant since the work is in 1D (there is no background).
